NCCR Certification Training
We provide NCCR credential training to meet the needs of construction industry.
One of the largest components of productivity, quality, and safety during an industrial maintenance or construction project is having a staff of highly trained, knowledgeable workers. Poorly trained workers bog down a project’s progress, deliver questionable or sub-par output, and ultimately put themselves, their coworkers, and the work-site in danger. One of the best tools in the industrial markets for determining whether or not a worker is qualified and trained is to check his or her NCCER credentials.
NCCER, an acronym for The National Center for Construction Education and Research, is a not-for-profit education foundation that was founded in 1996. It was created as a collaboration of more than 125 construction CEOs, association leaders, and academic professionals who strongly believed in the importance of safety, productivity, and education within the construction and maintenance industry. These professionals came together with the goal of developing a curriculum of standardized training and credentials.
OSHA Certification Training
Soulful Synergy offers OSHA-10 Hour and OSHA 30-Hour certification courses in both English and Spanish to meet the needs of an ever evolving workforce and industry. All of our students become OSHA competent upon course completion.
An OSHA “competent person” is defined as “one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them” [29 CFR 1926.32(f)]. By way of training and/or experience, a competent person is knowledgeable of applicable standards, is capable of identifying workplace hazards relating to the specific operation, and has the authority to correct them. Some standards add additional specific requirements which must be met by the competent person.
Here at Soulful Synergy, we are extremely passionate about having a positive impact on the development of our community. Our goal is to create jobs and develop careers for those that have the drive but may lack the necessary support. By partnering with local workforce development organizations such as Envirolution One and Youth Action Youth Build we have been able to provide curated mentor-ship to those that are looking to succeed in the sustainability and construction industries. We understand that drive is not the only determinant of success, and that the development of skills in a supportive environment is crucial. Soulful Synergy has created a curriculum aimed at instilling professional habits and self -reliance amongst our workers, that will enable them reach their career goals.
This curriculum is rooted in time tested Success Principles from history’s greatest academics on the subject of success such as; Napoleon Hill, Stephen Covey, Orison Swett Marden, and Zig Ziglar to name a few. It is the our goal to have each student adhere to these principles and lay a foundation for a prosperous life in whatever area they pursue.
Job Site Training
What makes Soulful Synergy unique is our emphasis on youth development and training. We take students in the community and put them to work learning as apprentices in on-site construction training. Every job you hire us for will immediately impact the life of a youth in the community as they are exposed to trade skills, experience, and education that will enhance their knowledge, their confidence, and their careers.
Our apprentice program enables student to get hands on work experience that they can use again and again. We encourage each participant to write a daily journal that allows them to internalize what they have learned for the day; become self aware, analytical and search for ways to simplify the process. Ultimately the goal is to become a future leader by being able to teach the process later to the next group of apprentices. This unique curriculum increases the probability for a complete grasp of learned material and seeks to enhance confidence in each students abilities.
